Colour Under The Flyover
PRINT MAKING . COLOUR . SITE SPECIFIC . MODEL
This body of work was produced as a project proposal focusing on the flyover adjacent to Greville Smyth Park and the Create Centre in Bristol for the M.A. in Multi-disciplinary printmaking.
Exploration into how creative interventions (such as colour) can impact how people feel about and use rundown urban environments was central to the research, which was realised through a series of prints produced for the final M.A. show.
Lithography, Silkscreen, Digital Print and Laser cutting were used to develop ideas, and the results include print realisations, wall coverings and models. It is important to note that certain materials play a dual role in this project. Substrates such as reflective film would improve not only the aesthetics but also the overall safety of the space.
